Adobe, the maker of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is reportedly working on a new $100-million investment fund to expand its portfolio of creative products.

The fund is reportedly expected to be ready to open in the fourth quarter of 2020, and Adobe will likely announce a formal launch of the fund this summer.

In addition to Adobe’s portfolio of products, Adobe has a large portfolio of intellectual property, including its patent portfolio and the copyrights for the wordmark and logos used in its products.

Adobe’s new fund, which is expected to grow to $150 million in assets, would allow Adobe to diversify its portfolio and increase its revenues.

The company will reportedly also be able to invest in new products and services.

According to Bloomberg, Adobe is expected “to raise as much as $100 billion in new funding to fund its expansion and to accelerate its turnaround, while continuing to make its flagship products the best in the industry.”

In addition, Adobe will reportedly be able, by 2020, to offer products and technologies that compete directly with Google’s Android mobile operating system, which was launched in 2020.
