An Oregon man who had recently traveled to Canada and then came back to Portland for the holidays was found dead on his porch, police said.
Timothy J. O’Connor, 49, of Roseburg, had recently moved to Portland, where he lived with his wife and three children.
He had just returned from a trip to the Northwest to visit relatives in Canada, said Lt.
Robert Schoeppner, a Portland police spokesman.
Police said O’Connors body was found in his bed in his apartment at 619 S.W. 14th St., a popular downtown area.
Police believe O’Connor died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Ojeda told officers that O’Connell was shot when O’Brien allegedly confronted him.
Police were not immediately releasing details about the investigation.
